Consistently named by his peers as one of the top 5% of all lawyers practicing in the state of Minnesota, including recognition as one of the top 40 employment and appellate lawyers in the state, Andrew Parker has a national reputation as one of the preeminent litigation attorneys in the region.
Mr. Parker represents both plaintiffs and defendants in all facets of resolving their most important and significant commercial disputes. Mr. Parker has handled numerous high profile lawsuits, ranging from civil rights actions to business disputes between senior management level employees and ex-partners or ex-employers. Mr. Parker has represented some of the largest government employers in the State of Minnesota, including the University of Minnesota, the City of Minneapolis, and the Metropolitan Council. He also represents numerous medium- to large-sized businesses regarding business litigation, employment, and human resources issues. Mr. Parker has handled both jury and court trials to multi-million-dollar verdicts and has made new law at all levels of the state and federal judiciary.
Prior to launching Parker Rosen LLC, Mr. Parker operated the Smith Parker law firm for nearly a decade. Prior to that, Mr. Parker was a shareholder at the law firm of Popham Haik. Mr. Parker received a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law Center and an M.A. from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.
Mr. Parker has extensive experience in administrative and regulatory proceedings with local, state, and federal agencies, including several FINRA arbitration matters. He has handled numerous federal court litigation matters and significant appeals in both state and federal court at the highest levels. His achievements in contested case hearings and arbitration hearings have led to invitations to speak at state and national conferences on adversarial proceedings.
Mr. Parker was previously appointed by Governor Tim Pawlenty to the Minnesota Community and Faith-Based Initiative Task Force. In years past, Mr. Parker served on Governor Carlson's task force reviewing public sector employment contracts. He also worked as a legislative research aide in Washington D.C and at the state legislature.
An active community leader, Mr. Parker is the co-founder of the Minnesota chapter of the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) where he served as Co-Chair from 2000-2005. Mr. Parker now serves on the National Council of AIPAC. Mr. Parker has also served as a director on the boards of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and the Oak Ridge Country Club.
