Tammy L. Pust is a trial lawyer focusing on employment and education-related disputes. Ms. Pust also advises several Minnesota nonprofits regarding operations and government relations.

Ms. Pust litigates employment claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, and has been recognized by her peers as a Super Lawyer in the area of employment law for the past several years. She also investigates allegations of discrimination, harassment, or other workplace misconduct for both private and public employers, including the State of Minnesota and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. Ms. Pust counsels individuals and employers in matters involving employment termination, and advises businesses with respect to the enactment and enforcement of workplace policies.

In her education law practice, Ms. Pust represents students and their families in matters involving educational best interests, special education, disability discrimination, and disputes related to student rights and discipline. When alternative dispute resolution processes fail to accomplish a client's goals, she litigates education claims in state and federal courts and through appropriate administrative processes.

Ms. Pust provides general counsel and legal representation to Minnesota non-profits in the areas of operational effectiveness and legal compliance. She is honored to help guide the work of the Minnesota Early Learning Foundation, Keystone Community Services, the Minnesota Boychoir, the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists Foundation, and the North Suburban Senior Council, among others.

Ms. Pust is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education conferences in the areas of employment law and school law. She also provides training to non-profits with regard to the legal responsibilities of board members.

Prior to her partnership at Parker Rosen LLC, Ms. Pust was a founding partner of Jesson & Pust, P.A. from 2003 through 2006, where she specialized in both employment and education law. For the four previous years, she served as the Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Public Affairs and Policy Development at the Minnesota Department of Children, Families & Learning, and was responsible for the agency's legal compliance work, government and community relations, communications, special education compliance, educator licensing, and rulemaking activities.

Ms. Pust has lived a commitment to public service since her tenure as an Assistant Attorney General and the Director of Children's Advocacy for the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General from 1993 through 1998. She spent the first 10 years and her first law partnership at Best & Flanagan, LLP, where she tried cases in both federal and state courts and managed an active appellate practice.

Ms. Pust currently serves her community as an elected member of the Roseville City Council and as a board member for Northwest Youth & Family Services and the Roseville Community Foundation. She is also active in leadership positions in her faith community, Roseville Lutheran Church, and serves as a professional advisor to the Minnesota Autism Society.
